Brief Description: ICS 300: Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents

Full Description: This course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in the ICS 100 and ICS 200 courses.

Course Objectives
Describe how the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents.
Describe the incident/event management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by the Incident Command System (ICS).
Implement the incident management process on a simulated Type 3 incident.
Develop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.

Prerequisites: IS0700 An Introduction to the National Incident Management System - Completed
IS0100 An Introduction to the Incident Command System, ICS 100 - Completed
IS0800 National Response Framework, An Introduction - Completed
IS0200 Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response - Completed

Directions to Location: Class will be on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER). Students must have base access in order to attend. If students are unsure of their ability to access JBER please contact POC prior to registering for the course.

Resources Required: Bring a laptop or other device and power cord to class. Student Materials will be available in the Portal for all enrolled students.
