Brief Description: Advanced ICS for Command and General Staff-Complex Incidents

Full Description: This course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in ICS 100 through ICS 300 courses, which are prerequisites for the ICS 400 course.

Course Objectives
Explain how major incidents engender special management challenges.
Describe the circumstances in which an Area Command is established.
Describe the circumstances in which Multi-Agency Coordination Systems are established.

Prerequisites: IS0100 An Introduction to the Incident Command System, ICS 100 - Completed
ICS-300 Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents - Completed
IS0700 An Introduction to the National Incident Management System - Completed
IS0200 Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response - Completed
IS0800 National Response Framework, An Introduction - Completed

Resources Required: Bring a laptop or other device, power cord, and snacks to class. Student Materials will be available in the Portal for all enrolled students.

Reporting Instructions: Class from 8am- 5pm daily.
